The Digitization and Preservation Service involves preserving, repairing, and converting various forms of analog media into digital formats. This service caters to a wide range of materials, including photographs, slides, negatives, film reels, audio recordings, video tapes, documents, and artworks. An initial consultation will be conducted to gather data and develop a comprehensive plan to address your specific needs. All initial consultations are scheduled for a 2-hour duration.

Reviewing  the scope of work regarding what you want to preserve, identifying deliverables, establishing a schedule for the project completion, developing  a  proposal and cost for the preservation project

What types of items do we digitize and preserve?

1. Photo Restoration: Repairing damaged or deteriorated photographs by digitally retouching or restoring them to their original condition. This may involve fixing tears, scratches, discoloration, or other forms of damage.
2. Film Restoration: Digitally restoring old or damaged film reels, including both motion pictures and home videos. This process may involve cleaning, repairing, and enhancing the quality of the film to improve its visual and audio clarity.
3. Audio Restoration: Restoring and digitizing analog audio recordings, such as vinyl records, cassette tapes, reel-to-reel tapes, and audio cassettes. This can involve removing background noise, enhancing sound quality, and preserving the original audio content.
4. Video Restoration: Digitally restoring and enhancing old or damaged video recordings, including VHS tapes, camcorder tapes, and other analog video formats. This process may include cleaning, color correction, and enhancing video quality.
5. Document Digitization: Converting physical documents, manuscripts, books, and other textual materials into digital formats such as PDFs or searchable text files. This can involve scanning, OCR (Optical Character Recognition), and indexing to make the content easily accessible and searchable.
6. Artwork Digitization: Digitally capturing and preserving artwork, including paintings, drawings, and other visual artworks. This may involve high-resolution scanning or photography to create digital reproductions for archival purposes or reproduction.
